Schoolchildren in the city of Orange, where I live, have three weeks off this holiday season, and I’m feeling the need for a break too. Look for the next full prayer blog on January 8, 2019.
 
Over these next few weeks, remember to pray for those who are grieving or lonely or reeling from troubles. Pray for those who are burned out with holiday busy-ness and those who are spiritually parched. Pray for the unredeemed individuals who will wander, or be dragged, into a church service this Christmastime. May they experience a life-changing encounter with the Lord! Lift up children, asking the Lord to help them sort out the truth of Jesus from the fiction of Santa. Pray they will understand and learn to cherish the message of Christmas – the gracious incarnation of the one true God.
 
I am praying for you and yours this Christmas, asking God to fill you blessed quietness and joy!
